My name is Julie, and I’m terrible at elevator speeches and introductions.
I’m a stereotypical millennial in many ways- I love me some 90s bubblegum pop, enjoy working and living in Washington, D.C., and raise 4 cats and 1 little woofer with my amazing husband in our little DC duplex (…wait, what? Other millennials don’t have 4 cats?). I don’t think we will ever get a full family portrait without some hissing or scratches, otherwise I’d share.
Side note: I just found out I have MS.
Also, I love photography, travel, politics (duh, D.C.), and being an eco-warrior. You don’t spend your free time in nature and find it incredibly fun to do species inventories and citizen science? I guess we’ll have to find something else in common. But don’t worry, I like a lot of different things so I’m sure we could find something to talk about.
Also, disclaimer- I’m also a pretty serious introvert (probably why I’d rather be out in nature than say, doing most other things)…so, I enjoy writing immensely and am way more eloquent in prose than in person.
See what I did there? I made MS a side note, which is exactly what I intend to do in reality. I’m a way more interesting person than medical case, believe me-the anxious/medical version of me is NO fun. So, I’m excited for you to get to know me and also learn about MS along the way.
